This week's spelling list, five different ways

Most spelling worksheets come with somebody else's words on them, which is useless when the test on Friday uses yours. Every spelling sheet here starts from a list you type in — this week's words, from your child's actual teacher — and turns it into whichever activity you want.

The same list, in five shapes

Repetition works, but copying a word ten times stops being practice after about the third one — the child is drawing shapes, not spelling. The way around it is to meet the same word in different formats: write it from dictation, fill in missing letters, unscramble it, find it in a grid, fit it into a crossword.

Each of those makes the child retrieve the spelling in a slightly different way, and one download can cover the whole week from a single list.

Word searches and crosswords that are actually solvable

A generated word search is easy to get wrong: place the words carelessly and two of them overlap into a third word that is not on the list. The generator here places every list word first and checks each placement against what is already on the grid. Only then does it fill the leftover cells with letters. Diagonals appear on the hardest setting alone.

The crossword is stricter still: every word has to cross a word already placed, so you never get a page of separate strings pretending to be a crossword. A word that shares no letter with anything on the grid is left out, and the sheet tells you how many were skipped.

Questions

How many words can I use?

Between 4 and 20 depending on the activity — the crossword takes 4 to 14, since every word has to interlock. Each activity's page says its range.

Is my child's word list stored anywhere?

No. It is used to draw the page and nothing else. No account, no database, and nothing is sent to any AI service.

Do I get an answer key?

Yes, for every spelling activity that has one — the word search grid with the words highlighted, the crossword fully filled in, and the missing letters completed.
