How to make yours, in about a minute

Choose a build level: easy for a young child, detailed to add arms.

Print, then color the face and control panel before cutting.

Cut around both strips and crease every dashed fold line.

Roll each strip into a loop and glue its tab behind the first panel.

Glue the head on the body and fold the antenna plate over the top.
What's actually printed
The body strip has four panels — the front one printed with a screen and three buttons — plus a glue tab. The head strip is the same shape at a smaller scale, with a face on the front panel. A flat antenna plate finishes the top of the head.
Assembling it
Build the body first: fold every dashed crease, roll the strip into a loop, and glue the tab behind the first panel. Do the same for the head at its smaller size, then glue the head on top of the body and fold the antenna plate down over the head's top edges.
Coloring it
The face and control panel are drawn as plain outlines on every style, so they stay colorable even on the three tinted styles — a child can still pick the eye color or button colors by hand.
Questions
What do I need besides the printout?
Scissors and a glue stick, or tape, are enough — no extra materials required.
Why two pieces instead of one?
A separate head and body is what makes the proportions read as a robot instead of a single box, and it's a more satisfying two-step build for kids.
What age is this good for?
Generally manageable from about age 6 up with some help; younger kids can color the flat sheet before an adult assembles it.
